Only Love Matters had its UK premiere on the 27th October at BFI Southbank, London, UK. The film had its world premiere in Marbella, Spain in the first week of October and a screening at the Brunel University London on 26th October (World Intersex Awareness Day). Other universities including Ravensbourne University London and Solent University in partnership with Southampton Film Week have also organised screenings in November 2023.

Only Love Matters has done phenomenally well on the film festival circuit and has won over 30 awards including Best Director, Best Producer, Best Feature Film, Best Screenplay, Best Production Design, Best Actress, Best Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Makeup, Best Romantic film, Best Women film, Best Message and Best Original Idea.

With intersex lead character, the last English language fiction feature film was Predestination (2014) from Australia, while from Britain it will be the first ever. The film has received excellent coverage and interest from academia as well and was discussed at Southern Illinois University (US), University of Westminster, University of Reading (UK), Brunel University London, Ravensbourne University London, Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain); Nagoya University (Japan); Intersex: New Interdisciplinary Approaches research group (INIA, supported by European Commission); to name just a few and also winning an Engagement award and being a finalist for Innovation and Impact award at the University of East Anglia. The Director Dr. Kamran Qureshi is now writing a book on the film and the research conducted for this film for a famous international publisher.
