Paul Hughes is playing Paul is playing the role of Dr Adelekun in Only Love Matters. He took up acting late in life when auditioning for a play at The Rose Theatre in S.W. London. Other theatrical parts soon followed along with short films and television when cast as 'Tony Mirra', in the major TV series 'Mafias Greatest Hits'. His first feature films were 'London Latino' and 'M.O.N.E.Y.' featuring Emmy Award-winning actor Wil Johnson. In celebration of the 50th anniversary of 'Dr Who' the BBC cast him to play 'Tom Baker' closely followed by more stage roles including 'Shamrayev' in Chekhov's 'The Seagull' on the London fringe. During 2014 the steady stream of work continued climaxed by playing 'King Saul' in Hollywood director Timothy Chey's 'David and Goliath' which launched across cinemas in the U.S.A. Once again a call from the BBC saw him appear in the 'Music Awards' backing Lukas Graham with his worldwide hit ‘7 Years’. In 2017 he was offered a leading role in the International feature film 'Day Rises. I Fall', a Polish/UK production, the successful trend continuing with further links to the USA in the internationally cast 'The Dark Field' featuring Dominique Swain. Developments into 2021 continue to inspire with film projects from Sweden, Spain and the USA all gaining ground.
